A cure for procrastination. Does one really exist?
I guess that would depend upon your point of view. I have certainly looked, wished, and prayed to be dethroned from being the Queen of Procrastination.
So what’s the cure for procrastination?
Is it a magic pill? No.
Is it a therapist or coach? Although that can help, no.
I know you are probably saying to yourself, “Tracey you’re a coach. What do mean having a coach isn’t the cure for procrastination?”
A coach can help you learn skills and techniques to help, but it’s ultimately up to you.
I stood in front of my bathroom mirror this morning and told myself that I was no longer the Queen of Procrastination. I dethroned myself.
Now, it’s your turn.
It’s time for you to find your cure for procrastination.
Change Your Thinking
Every time you think of not doing want you need to do… Stop! Be like Nike and Just Do It!
Make a List
The night or day before write a list of what you want to accomplish that day. Don’t go to bed until you finish everything on it.
Make a Schedule
You may need more discipline that a list. Get out your calendar (My personal favorite is Google Calendar.) and determine at what times you are going to do which activities.
This isn’t easy. It is simple.
It’s easier if you are part of a Mastermind of like people who believe in you and help you learn to believe in yourself.
